HENDERSON, Ky. - Robert E. Blackwell, age 49, of Morganfield, KY, passed away at 2:25am, Tuesday, April 23, 2012, at Methodist Hospital.

Robert was a member of the Haven Pentecostal Church and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Blackwell was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include: Wife of 15 years: Patricia Blackwell Morganfield, KY; 2 Step-Daughters: Ginny Rickard and husband Mike "Bobo", Regina Powell and fiancé Ira Hay; 1 Step-Son: Patrick Powell and wife Abby All of Henderson, KY; 1 Sister: Joy "Sissy" Fricks and husband Roy Acworth, GA; 1 Brother: Larry Blackwell and wife Rolanda Catersville, GA; Half-Brother: George Askren, Jr. Patoka, IN; Step-Father: George Askren, Sr. Patoka, IN; 9 Grandchildren; Nieces and Nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 25, 2013 with the Reverend Willard Clement officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.

Benton-Glunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
