accidentwinjuries2 300CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (4/16/14) — Three people were injured when the vehicle they were riding in veered off the road on Kentucky 70 at 10:19 a.m. Wednesday, April 16 about eight miles west of Central City.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Donna Varble, 49, of Owensboro, was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer headed west on Kentucky 70 when she lost control of the vehicle, which exited the right shoulder of the road and struck a ditch.

Varble and two of her passengers, Brenda Nugent, 67, of Owensboro, and Cheyenne Varble (step-daughter), 14, were transported via ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment. A third passenger, Shaun Dickson, 18, of Louisville was not injured.

According to KSP, Cheyenne Varble was not wearing a seat belt, but the other three occupants were.

Trooper Craig Engler investigated the collision. Trooper Jerrod Hearld, the Graham Volunteer Fire Department and the Muhlenberg EMS assisted at the scene.
