accident with injuries ambulanceDUNMOR, Ky. (8/2/14) — Two Beechmont men received minor injuries after the vehicle they were riding in left the road, overturned and traveled down a rock embankment at 11:13 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1 near Dunmor.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Troopers Jon McGhee and Jacob Fortney responded to the scene on U.S. 431 South, about one mile south of Kentucky 949. They found Anthony T. Jones, 18, and Nicholas W. Miller, 25, trapped inside the vehicle.

Both men were extracted from the vehicle by the Dunmor Volunteer Fire Department and transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital by MCH Emergency Medical Services.

The driver, Jones, told police he swerved to avoid a deer in the road, the report said.

Quality Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
