give blood 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (11/22/13) - Hosting a blood drive is one simple way the Muhlenberg Job Corps gets involved to recognize those in need in the local community. Student, Brandon Felingiere, shown with American Red Cross nurse, donates blood at the recent blood drive at the center's campus. The blood drive was very successful with one hundred and eight students signed up to donate blood, 46 units were collected, meaning many were turned away. The Red Cross collected all they could do within the time frame allowed.

The American Red Cross is the nation's largest blood collection organization, supplying approximately 40 percent of the blood and blood products used in our country. The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center hosts a blood drive four times a year and student participation is never lacking. This is just one of the many ways the students at Muhlenberg Job Corps give back to the Muhlenberg community.
