lane restriction 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (2/13/14) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane along various sections of US 60/The Wendell Ford Expressway in Daviess County on Friday, Feb. 14.

Starting after the morning commute, the contractor will set up a work zone that will move from time to time to facilitate installation of overhead truss signs at the following locations around Owensboro:

  • U.S. 60 Eastbound from mile point 17.6 to the 18.2 all traffic moved to left-hand or passing lane near the Natcher Pkwy Interchange & KY 54 Interchange;
  • U.S. 60 Westbound from mile point 18.2 to the 17.6 all traffic moved to right-hand or driving lane near the Natcher Pkwy Interchange & KY 54 Interchange;
  • U.S. 60 Eastbound from mile point 10.1 to 10.3 all traffic moved to the right-hand or driving lane near west end of the Wendell Ford Expressway;
  • U.S. 60 Westbound from mile point 10.3 to 10.1 all traffic moved to the right-hand or driving lane near west end of the Wendell Ford Expressway.

Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach these work zone locations as installation progresses through the day.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
