MURRAY, Ky. - John Kelly Emerson, 60, of Murray, KY passed away peacefully Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home following an extended illness.
Born on March 3, 1952, Mr. Emerson retired as a manufacturing engineer. He was of the Catholic faith.
John is survived by his wife, Vicki Emerson of Murray, whom he married on August 1, 1982 in Washington State; a son, Nathian Emerson and special friend Jamie Walker of Belmont, NC; a daughter, Jennifer Romer and husband Kevin of Liberty Township, OH; a granddaughter, Abigail Julian Romer of Liberty Township, OH; two brothers-in-law, Mickey Spann and wife Bree and Rick Spann and wife Lisa, both of Murray and mother-in-law, Ramona Mileham and husband Bob of Murray.
He is preceded in death by his father, Julian Emerson.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Imes-Miller Funeral Home. Kerry Lambert and Keith Travis will officiate.
The family will receive visitors from 4 – 8 P.M. on Monday, January 7 at the funeral home.
