MURRAY, Ky. - Harry W. Milton, Jr. age 77, of Murray, KY passed away at 9:00pm Saturday at his home. He was born March 6, 1936 in Daviess Co. KY to the late Harry Welsh & Pauline (Whittinghill) Milton.
Mr. Milton was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ, served as an officer in the U. S. Army Corp of Engineers, served as Chief Engineer for Murray State University and retired in 1996. Prior to that, he was an engineer for the federal government in Alaska and the Lockheed-Georgia Co. in Marietta, GA. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech, and was a registered professional engineer in Ky and formerly Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Alice Owen Milton in 1987, and his second wife Betty Cook Milton in 2005.
His survivors include, two daughters; Dianne Denson (Myron), of Gallatin, TN, Melinda Ruplinger, of Owensboro, KY, two sons: David Owen Milton (Kim), of Eagle River, Alaska, Gregory Paul Milton, of St. Petersburg, FL, three sisters; Virginia Riley (Bud), of The Village, FL, Martha Hagan (Cliff), of Vero Beach, FL, Anne Livings (Jimmy), of Birmingham, AL, brother; John Thomas Milton (Aileen), of The Village, FL, three grandchildren, mother in law: Rosie Cook, stepdaughters; Cyndi Webb, Pam Kondratko, step son; Marty Hutson, brothers in law; Donald Cook, Ronnie Cook, sister in law; Lagena Pfeffer, several nieces and nephews and his special friend Myrna Dunn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday at York Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Entombment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may visit from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday at York Funeral Home.
