Dr. Emmanuel Joseph Battah, 82, of Hopkinsville, KY

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Dr. Emmanuel Joseph Battah, 82, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at 1:58 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.

A native of Baghdad, Iraq, he was born June 12, 1929, to the late Joseph and Fahema Battah. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife: Arsha Battah of Hopkinsville; his sons: Wiam Paul Battah (Kim) of Jacksonville, FL, and Raed George Battah of Jacksonville, FL; his daughter: Mrs. Shon “Nada” Dionne of Port Huron, MI; his sisters: Najiba Jaujo of Southfield, MI, and Harriette Talia of Windsor, Canada; 3 Grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2012, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Hopkinsville with Father John Thomas and Father Richard Meredith officiating. Burial following at Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the Rosary service at the church. Rosary service will be begin at 12:00 p.m. Hughart & Beard are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church School Building Fund, 902 East Ninth Street, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
