Lillian Zentmyer Cowan, 90, of Hopkinsville, KY formerly of Madisonville, KY

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY - Lillian Zentmyer Cowan, 90, of Hopkinsville, KY formerly of Madisonville, KY passed away at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.

She was born on May 27, 1922 in Madisonville, KY to the late Walter and Bell Fork Zentmyer. She was formerly employed with a shoe factory in Hopkinsville. She was a member of Fruit Hill Baptist Church in Crofton, KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorris Cowan; two sisters, Lilly Coffman and Carrie Miller; and her brother, Nelson Zentmyer.

She is survived by her niece, Mildred Lear of Madisonville; two great-nieces, Patricia Lear and Linda Rice both of Madisonville; her great-nephew, Kenny (Shannon) Lear of Earlington, KY; and her four nephews, Ray Miller of Madisonville, Ronnie Coffman of Earlington, Darrell Coffman of Madisonville and Jerry Coffman of Henderson, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Dennis Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in Fruit Hill Cemetery in Crofton, KY.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Friday at Harris Funeral Home.
