Richard T. Brame, age 86, of Hopkinsville

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Richard T. Brame, age 86, of Hopkinsville passed away 4:02 AM Friday, August 17, 2012, at his home of natural causes.

Mr. Brame was born September 25, 1925, in Trigg County, KY, the son of the late Eunice and James McFerrin Brame. He owned and operated Brame’s Radio and TV Service for 58 years. He was US Army Veteran during WWII, where he received three Bronze Stars. Richard was a member of Second Baptist Church where he was a deacon, and was also a member of the Civitan Club where he was a past president. He served on the Christian County School Board for 24 years, where he never missed a meeting. He also served as School Board Chairman for 12 of those years.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and by his grandson, Sean Michael Sanderson in 1989.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Margaret Glenn Brame; two sons, Glenn Brame and his wife Dayna of Hopkinsville and Mack Brame and his wife Vicki of Crofton; a daughter, Susan Sanderson and her husband Jerry of Cerulean; four grandchildren, Daniel Brame, Ashley Hall, Brandon and Wesley Sanderson, and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Sanderson.

Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. David Tucker and Mr. Steve Chaffin officiating.Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to Pennyroyal Hospice, 220 Burley Ave., Hopkinsville, KY 42240 or to the Second Baptist Church Organ Fund, 720 West 7th St., Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
