Jimmy E. Shaw, 69, Hopkinsville, KY

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Jimmy E. Shaw, 69, Hopkinsville, KY passed away at 10:12 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center after a long illness.

A native of Christian County born May 17, 1943, he was the son of the late George Herbert and Annie Aldridge Shaw. He had worked for several years as a sales rep for Dr. Pepper and then for 28 years for Big G Express in Shelbyville, TN.

He attended Little River Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Perry Shaw, two daughters; Angela Shaw (Larry) Barber, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Dana Shaw (Troy) Schilling, Fairbanks, Alaska, one brother, Carl H. “Sonny” Shaw, Hopkinsville, one sister, Nancy Gresham, Carthage, Tennessee, five grandchildren; Chantale, Dustin, Brittany, Caroline and T.J. and four great-grandchildren; Macy, Bryson, Isaac and Candice.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville conducted by Terry Alan Jones and Garland Hester with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the service hour on Friday.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
