Martha S. (Mattie) Byler, age 92 of Guthrie, KY

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Martha S. (Mattie) Byler, age 92 of Guthrie, KY passed away 7:05 a.m. Sunday, February 3, 2012 at her residence of natural causes.

Mrs. Byler was born January 27, 1921 in Dover, Delaware the daughter of the late Samuel S. Mast and Anna J. Swartzentruber Mast. She was a homemaker and a member of the North District Amish Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry R. Byler in 2007 and her son, Andrew H. Byler in 1997. Also preceded are her brothers, Aden, Jonas and Henry and her sisters Verna, Susie and Malinda.

Survivors include two brothers, Levi Mast of PA and Andy Mast of NY; three sisters, Edna Miller of KY, Clara Miller of PA and Ella Miller of PA; four grandchildren, Eva (Larry) Gingerich of Cambodia and Ohio, David (Laura) Byler of SC, Samuel (Karen) Byler of SC and Lois (Mark) Nisley of OH; one daughter-in-law, Beulah Graber Byler, ten step-grandchildren, Mark (Kathy) Graber, Mary Jane (David) Graber, Norman (Jennifer) Graber, Nathan (Lela) Graber, Marvin (Norma) Graber, Melvin (Sherry) Graber, Jonnie (Gina) Graber, Marjorie (Kerry) Wagler, Ida (Matthew) Graber and Delmar (Hillary) Graber all of IN; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the North District Amish Church, 1520 Elkton-Trenton Rd, Guthrie, KY 42234 with Bishop Daniel Beachy officiating. Burial will follow in the North District Amish Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Monday, at the Residence, 610 Frogue Road, Guthrie, KY 42234 and from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the residence. Latham Funeral Home in Elkton is in charge of the arrangements.
