HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - John Hubbs Lane, 90, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away February 6, 2013, at Bradford Heights of natural causes.
A native of White House, Tennessee, he was born July 23, 1922, the son of the late Clyde and Tommie Hubbs Lane. He was a member of Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, as well as the Home Builders Association. He was the co-owner of Hayden Lumber Yard. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran where he was a flight instructor.
Survivors include his son: Bruce Lane of Hopkinsville; his daughter: Marilynn Morse (Tony) of Hopkinsville; his step-son: Jeffery Hood of Elizabethtown, KY: 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son, John Terry Lane, 1985.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2013, at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville officiated by Rev. Earl Grace. Burial will follow in Ridgetop Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.
