HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Frank Harrison Martin, Jr., 70, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away at 3:05 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Christian Health Center following a long illness.
A native of Tampa, FL he was born July 25, 1942 the son of the late Frank Harrison Martin, Sr. and Mary Conway Dick. He was a retired Vice President with Arby’s Roast Beef. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a member of Saint John United Methodist Church. He was a member and former board member of the Hopkinsville Rotary Club, long term member of the Tourism Board, past president of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and board member and past president of Pennyroyal Hospice.
Survivors include his wife: Renai Gentry Martin; his sons: Gregory Martin (Stacey) of Smyrna, TN and Michael Martin (Shavona) of Hendersonville, TN; his step son: Dean Gardner of Taveres, FL; his stepdaughter: Belinda McGuire (Duane) of Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers: Clarence Dick and Darryl Dick both of Tampa, FL; his sisters: Sandra Thompson of Tampa, FL and Linda Owens of Luthersville, GA; and two grandchildren: Jonathan Lancaster of Hopkinsville, KY and James Martin of Smyrna, TN.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville with the Rev. Dr. Neil A. Salvaterra officiating. Burial will follow in KY Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home.
