Rev. Robert Wilson Ivy, 94, of Hopkinsville, KY

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Rev. Robert Wilson Ivy, 94, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 26,2013 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

Rev. Ivy had been a Baptist pastor for 25 years, his last pastorate being at First Baptist Church in Clinton. After his retirement, he was employed by the KY Bureau of Rehabilitation.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Ivy, 2 sons; Dr. Steven Ivy and his wife Karen, Indianapolis, IN and Col, (ret.) Michael Ivy and his wife Alice, one daughter, Ligeia Brown and her husband Greg, nine grandchildren; Holyn Bogert and her husband Paul, Krysten Wendell and her husband Dane, Mary Nite and her husband Micah, Robert Ivy and his wife Christine, Margaret Ivy, Nancy Brown, Melanie Brown, Michael Brown and Laura Brown, and five great-grandchildren; Adeline Bogert, Abigail Bogert, Sophia Wendell, Jeremiah Ivy and Josiah Ivy.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013 at First Baptist Church, Hopkinsville conducted by Rev. Dr. David Gardner with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bill McConnell, Charlie Morefield, William Adkins III, David Arvin, Howard Jacobs, Jim Pelham, Gene McIntosh, William Adkins, Jr., Tommy Gary and Harold Wood.

Visitation will be at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to : First Baptist Church Foreign Missions Program, 1400 S. Main St., Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
