Pansy Lee Word, age 95, of Hopkinsville, KY

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Pansy Lee Word, age 95, of Hopkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at her residence of natural causes.

Mrs. Word was born October 3, 1917, in Christian County, KY the daughter of the late Victor and Mattie Ethel West Henderson. She was a homemaker and a member of Casky Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harold Word in 1996; her brother, Herman Henderson; her sisters, Ovidean West, Marcett Lacy, Violet Armstrong, and Odell Henderson.

Survivors include her sons, Steve Word of Hopkinsville, KY, and Douglas Word and his wife, Dale of Carrollton, TX; her daughter, Katie Caffrey and her husband, Lance of Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Todd Word, Dawn Pearl, Ginnie Pruitt, Shane Scruggs, and Liam Caffrey; and her great-grandchildren, Dean and Logan Word, Nona Pruitt, Andrew, Shelby, and Mason Pearl, Hunter and Maguire Scruggs.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2013 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.

Donation can be made to the Pennyroyal Hospice at 220 Burley Ave Hopkinsville, KY 42240, or Casky Baptist Church at 4086 Casky Lane Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
