Miss Martha was born August 17, 1916 in Trenton, KY to Roland Lee Adams and Maude Randle Adams. Martha Elizabeth was a lifelong active member of Trenton United Methodist Church. She served for many years as the Sunday School Secretary and was a member of the United Methodist Women. Also, Miss Martha was a charter member of the “This and That” book club (formed in 1933) until her death.
Miss Martha Elizabeth was loved by everyone who knew her. She always had a kind word and a smile. She never complained regardless of the circumstance and provided assistance and inspiration to countless people in her lifetime. Our loss is great, but Heaven’s gain is greater. We take comfort that she is home.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Lee Adams in 1926 and her husband, Walter Ray Luttrull in 1995, after 61 years of marriage.
Survivors include her children, Walter Ray Luttrull, Jr. (Angela) of Somerset and Marie Luttrull Harper (Mac) of Elkton; two sisters, Isabelle Adams Glascock of Clarksville, and Nancy Bruce Adams Crouch of Elkton; four grandchildren, Maria Luttrull Wilke of Paducah, Julie Harper Dent of Bowling Green, Dawn Harper Bohnett (Mike) of Lexington, and Walter Ray Luttrull III of Washington, DC; and six great-grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth and Bennett Wilke of Paducah, Kristin Marie and Ryan Thomas Dent of Bowling Green; and Catherine Elizabeth and Matthew Allan Bohnett of Lexington.
