Marilyn Eagan Morris, 71 of Hopkinsville, KY

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Marilyn Eagan Morris, 71, of of Hopkinsville, KY passed away at 3:11 a.m. Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home of natural causes.

Mrs. Morris was born in Christian County, KY, on August 26, 1941, the daughter of the late Dorman and Thelma Barnes Eagan. Mrs. Morris was a teacher for Christian County School System, Montgomery County, Tennessee School System, and Hopkinsville Community College. Marilyn was a member of First Baptist Church where she was also involved in her Sunday School Classes, and Prayer Groups. She was also involved in numerous business clubs in various school systems.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jim” Eagan in 1977.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Rev. Kinnith Morris Sr. of Hopkinsville, KY; her sons, Doctors Kinnith “Kent” Morris Jr. and his wife, Heather of Cincinnati, Ohio, and James Nathan “Nat” and his wife, Sarah of Lexington, KY; her daughter, Stephanie Pugh of Clarksville, TN; and her six grandchildren, Michael, Alison “Ali”, and Caleb Pugh, Ethan, Liam, and Keira Morris.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Rogers and Rev. Dr. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2013 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, Hopkinsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Baptist Sunday School Class (Marilyn Morris Ministry Fund) at 1400 S. Main Street Hopkinsville, KY 42240, or Locust Grove Baptist Church Building Fund at 73 Locust Grove Church Road, Cadiz, KY 42211.
