HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Glenda Joyce Martin Holland, 70, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away May 12, 2013, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee of natural causes.
A native of Crofton, KY, she was born March 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Leo Woodson Martin and Thelma Ilene Durham Powers. She was a member of Calvary Memorial Baptist Church. She was co-owner and Chief Financial Officer of Pennyrile Machine Co., Inc.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Larry Wayne Holland; a son, Jeffrey Wayne Holland, his wife Elizabeth Freeman Holland of Hopkinsville; 2 daughters: Tammy Gail Schron and Angela Joyce Francis, both of Hopkinsville; a sister, Connie Sue Powers of Crofton; 2 granddaughters: Victoria Gail Schron and Marin Brooke Francis.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Gale Cansler in 1971.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Calvary Memorial Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, officiated by Rev. Larry Dale Combs. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. in Holland Family Cemetery, Murray, KY. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
