HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Ervin J. Schlabach, age 88 of Guthrie, KY, passed away 1:00 PM Monday, May 20, 2013 at his residence of natural causes.
Mr. Ervin was born January 26, 1925 in Holmes Co., Ohio the son of the late John Schlabach and Mary Miller Schlabach. He was a farmer and a member of the South District Amish Church. He was preceded by his wife, Edna Wengerd Schlabach in 2013, two brothers, Alvin and Sam Schlabach, 1 Granddaughter and 1 Great Granddaughter.
Survivors include three sons, Alvin (Irene) Schlabach of Dade City, FL, Robert (Shirley) Schlabach of Crofton and Wayne (Linda) Schlabach of Auburn; four daughters, Mary (Joni) Miller of Franklin, KY, Ruth Schlabach of Guthrie, Verna (Vernon) Hochstetler of Auburn and Wilma (Eli) Hostetler of Auburn; two brothers, Mose Schlabach of Kinsman, OH and Ray Schlabach of Guthrie; two sisters, Lydianne Hostetler of Apple Creek, OH and Katie Yoder of Orville, OH; 32 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the South District Amish Church in Guthrie, KY with Bishop Daniel Beachy officiating. Burial will follow in the South District Amish Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 PM and from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the South District Amish Church.
