Darlene Monroe, age 54 of Elkton, Ky

2flowerHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Darlene Monroe, age 54 of Elkton, Ky passed away at 2:42 A.M. Monday, June 3, 2013 at Hospice House of Southern Ky in Bowling Green, Ky.

She was born March 21, 1959 in Gary, Indiana the daughter of Joe W. and Wanda F. Garrett of Elkton, Ky. She was a Homemaker and a Past teacher at Covenant Christian Academy and was a member of the Elkton Church of the Nazarene.

Mrs Monroe is survived by her parents Joe W. and Wanda F. Garrett of Elkton, her husband, Mark A. Monroe Sr. of Elkton, two sons, Mark[Amanda]Monroe Jr. of Hopkinsville, Ky. and Joey Monroe of Elkton, Ky., one daughter, Ariell Monroe of Elkton, Ky. four brothers, Billy Joe and Don Garrett both of Elkton, Ky. Tom Garrett of Allegre, Ky., and Dave Garrett of Columbus, Indiana and four grandchildren, Mitchell Degenhardt, Elizabeth Higgins, Ashlyn Monroe and Cole Monroe.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton with Rev. Don Garrett and Rev. Dave Garrett officiating and burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville, Ky. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, Ky.
