HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Blanche Roberts Wallace, 91, Hopkinsville, Ky passed away at 10:39 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Christian Health Center of natural causes.
A native of Trigg County, Ky born August 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Walter Irvin and Lillian Hicks Gentry Roberts. She had been a homemaker and was a member of South Union Baptist Church. Her husband, Clyde F. Wallace, passed away in 1982.
She is survived by three sons; Clyde Wallace, Hopkinsville, Bruce Wallace and his wife Viva, Bridgewater, NJ and Russell Wallace and his wife Elizabeth, also of Hopkinsville, three daughters; Claudette McLeod and her husband Bill, Fenwick Island, DE, Ann Shields and her husband Pat, Hopkinsville, and Frances Schlei and her husband John, also of Hopkinsville; three sisters; Nell Stallons Birdsong, Cadiz, KY, Rebecca Noel and her husband Bob of Hopkinsville, and Lula Belle Van Gilder and her husband Harry, Warren, MI, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Taylor Wallace and a grandson, Kelly Minton.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 24, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville conducted by Rev. Don Mock with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brad Minton, Chuck Minton, Phillip Minton, Freddy Schlei, Taylor Wallace, Madison Wallace, Ryan Wallace and Brian Fitzsimmons. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m.
