Jerry Sanderson, 63, of Cerulean, Ky

obit10HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Jerry Sanderson, 63, of Cerulean, Ky passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

A native of Christian County, KY he was born January 31, 1950 the son of the late Orman Brandon Sanderson and Narlon Lela McCain Sanderson. He was a farmer. He was a member of Second Baptist Church where he also served at a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was formerly a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and music director at Cerulean Baptist Church. He was a former 4H Leader, FSA Committee member, and member of the Trigg County Cattlemen’s Association.

He was preceded in death by a son: Sean Michael Sanderson.

Survivors include his wife: Susan Brame Sanderson; two sons: Brandon Sanderson of Cerulean and Wesley Sanderson of the home; his brother: Jimmy Sanderson (Louise) of Cerulean; five sisters: Stella Cornelius (Glenn), Reda Fuller (Jessie) and Pansy Stagner (Jim) all of Cerulean, Janie Young (Billy) of Hopkinsville, KY and Sandra Milotte (Gene) of Franklin, GA; and one granddaughter.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2013 at Second Baptist Church with Rev. David Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home. Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Second Baptist Church Organ Fund 720 W. 7th Street, Hopkinsville, KY 42240 or the Giver’s Favorite Charity.
