Rightway Ministry – The Missing Link

rightway 3 300KENTUCKY (7/2/13) – Christians suffer from the lack of a basic need, and it's just as important to us as oxygen.

Conditional love means that I'll love you as long as it suits my needs. Unconditional love means I'll love you in spite of situations or circumstances. How many times have you been so mad that you've said or done something that you later regretted? How many times has the lack of unconditional love defeated forgiveness? Someone that possesses conditional love often remarks "I can forgive but I can't forget".

God tells us through his word that we are created in his image. He also identifies himself as love (unconditional love). Unconditional love is the link that binds us to our true destiny as God's creation. We can never be all that we've been created to be without unconditional love.

Conditional love allows us to pick and choose who we love and who we don't love. God tells us through His word that we must love everybody all the time, our friends and our enemies.

Love is a commitment, not an emotion. As we choose Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we transcend into our brother's keeper.

Unconditional is the love that Christ has for us and the love that we should have for each other. Do we only love God when we're on top of the mountain or do we love him when we're down in the valley? God loves us through our weaknesses and shortcomings as we should each other.

And last but not least, love your haters! Buy them a gift this week, or better yet, take a hater to lunch! Let it be your treat!

God bless you and have a great week!
