Luke Allen Henry, 44, of Clarksville, TN and formerly of Hopkinsville

baue eagleHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Luke Allen Henry, 44, of Clarksville, TN and formerly of Hopkinsville, passed away at 4:03 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his residence after a long illness.

A native of Paducah, KY born May 14, 1969, he was the son of Victor “Butch” Henry and Sarah Henry, both of Paducah and was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School.

He was an educator having taught at both Richview Middle School and Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. Following those years, he worked in the I.T. Department for Austin Peay and then became the interim I.T. Director for the City of Clarksville.

Luke was a former member of First Christian Church in Hopkinsville and currently a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church in Clarksville.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Joyce Turner Henry, Clarksville, two children; Michael Henry and Katelyn Henry, both of the home, one brother, Brian Wayne Henry and his wife Melissa, of Paducah, and two special caregivers; Larry Richards and Paul Massa.

 

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at First Christian Church in Hopkinsville conducted by Rev. James O. Hazelrigg and Rev. Nathan Brown. Pallbearers will be Mike Cunningham, Darek Manley, Dwight Berry, Julian Orange, Casey Prewitt and Danny Lampley. Private burial in Riverside Cemetery will be at a later date.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 5, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.
