HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Thelma Blake, age 84 of Allensville, KY passed away Tuesday August 13, 2013 11:20 p.m. at her residence of natural causes.
Mrs. Blake was born March 4, 1929 in Todd Co., KY the daughter of the late Elmer Johnson and Mable Thompson Johnson. She had worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph Hill Infirmary in Missouri and a homemaker. She was a member of the Greater Life Apostolic Church in Russellville, KY. Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Hulon Blake in 1992 and her son, Jackie Blake.
Survivors include her sons, Carl Blake and David Blake both of Allensville; her daughters, Dee Blake and Beth Dill both of Allensville; her brothers, Ray Johnson and Eddie Johnson both of Adairville, KY, Lloyd Johnson of Shepherdsville, KY, James Johnson of Adairville, KY, Other Johnson of Allensville, KY and Roy Johnson of Adairville, KY; her sisters, Joyce Roberts of Adairville, KY, Geraldine Suddath of Louisville, KY, Ovella Morrison of Adairville, KY, Jeanetta Morrison of Adairville, KY and Sylvia Camp of Greensburg, KY; 21 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at Latham Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Johnson and Rev. Bruce Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in the France Cemetery in Allegre, KY. Visitation for Mrs. Blake will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Latham Funeral Home.
