accident injuries amb 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/20/13) – Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and other emergency responders were dispatched Thursday afternoon just before 5 p.m. to a report of a "workplace accident," Daviess County authorities stated in a news release.

According to authorities, Thomas Simpson, 58, was injured when a truck apparently fell on him at Yager Materials on U.S. Hwy. 60. He was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where he was listed in critical care, police said.

East Daviess County Fire Dept., Thruston Fire Dept., and Yellow Ambulance also responded to the scene.
