The contractor will using specialized high-strength concrete to make spot repairs on the driving surface of the southbound bridge deck.

Work will start at 7 p.m. each evening. The work zone will be taken down by 6 a.m. the following morning.

Southbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the bridge. Caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are working along the bridge in close proximity to traffic flow.

The work is expected to take two to three nights to complete.

The northbound bridge was opened to traffic on July 4, 1932. The southbound bridge was opened to traffic on Dec. 16, 1965.
