Patsy Jean Ledford Kennedy, 79 of Hopkinsville, Ky

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Patsy Jean Ledford Kennedy, 79 of Hopkinsville, Ky passed away there at 8:02 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 after a long illness.

A native of Pembroke, Ky born December 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Henry Stark Ledford and Herndon Lucille Reeves Ledford.

Her husband, James William Kennedy, passed away in October 2002. She had been a homemaker and was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include one son, James Michael Kennedy and his wife Susan of Lexington, KY, one daughter, Cherie Kennedy Colley and her husband Randy of Hopkinsville, four grandchildren; Nicholas Randolph Colley, Lynsa Elizabeth Colley, Hunter Davis Kennedy and Hayden William Kennedy, and one great-grandson Taylen Tyler Irvin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville conducted by Rev. Martha Rucker with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Colley, Nick Colley, Hayden Kennedy, Hunter Kennedy, Earl Saltsman and Dale Simmons.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Christian Health Center of Hopkinsville, 200 Sterling Dr., Attn: Keylie Fears, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
