Elmer Cleveland Henderson, 82 of Hopkinsville, Ky

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Elmer Cleveland Henderson, 82 of Hopkinsville, Ky. Passed away 11:30 a.m., Sunday, February 02, 2014 at Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehab Center in Cadiz of natural causes.

Mr. Henderson was born August 18, 1931 in Todd County, Ky, the son of the late Huel Elmer and Jennie Spurlin Henderson. Elmer was in the US Army during the Korean War. He was retired as a produce manager at the commissary on Ft. Campbell. Elmer was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. Elmer was preceded in death by his step-son, Dale Walker in 2011; his brother, Glendal Henderson; a sister, Annas Marie Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Carriene Hunter Beach-Henderson of Hopkinsville, Ky; his sons, Stan Henderson and his wife, Jennie of Powderly, Ky, and Mark Henderson and his wife, Cheryl of Murray, Ky; his step-sons, Greg Beach and his wife, Diane of Hopkinsville, Ky, and Myron Beach and his wife, Carole of Cadiz, Ky; his brothers, Delmon Henderson of Hopkinsville, Ky, Billy Henderson of Elberta, AL, and Ronald Sherwood Henderson of Christian Count, Ky; five grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Sandefur officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00PM -8:00PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
