Sue Howard King, 80, Hopkinsville, Ky

HOPKINVILLE, Ky. - Sue Howard King, 80, Hopkinsville, Ky passed away at 8:44 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Christian Health Center in Hopkinsville after a brief illness.

A native of Coxton, Ky born January 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Cam Ball Howard and Stella Smith Howard.

She had worked for several years as a legal secretary, then retired after 16 years as a case worker and trainer with the Cabinet for Families & Children, Commonwealth of Ky.

She was a member of Hopkinsville First United Methodist Church and the Pierian Society.

Survivors include her husband Hal King, Hopkinsville, one son, Steve King, also of Hopkinsville, one daughter, Lisa King Brosche, Gallatin, TN, one brother, David Howard, Rosspoint, Ky, one sister, Doris Davenport, also of Rosspoint, three grandchildren; Nick Brosche and his wife Abby, Ryan Brosche and Cameron King, and two great-grandchildren; Jack Henry Brosche and Sully Brosche.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Hopkinsville First United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Paige S. Williams. A celebration of life luncheon and gathering will follow the service in Cornell Hall at the church.

Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements.
