Joy Smith Ryals, age 98, of Princeton, formerly of Hopkinsville

 

obit6HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Joy Smith Ryals, age 98, of Princeton, formerly of Hopkinsville, passed away Monday November 14, at Princeton Health and Rehab following a short illness.

She is survived by one daughter, Anne Farless of Princeton, KY; three grandchildren, Debbie Farless Oliver and husband, Willis, of Princeton, KY., Joe Farless and wife, Billie Kay, of Princeton, KY and Jerry Farless and wife, Annette, of Crofton, KY; three great-grandchildren, Clay Farless and wife Chelsey, Ryals Farless and Alex Farless; four step great-grandchildren; one sister, Matie Ware of Trenton, KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband Garrott Ryals; her parents, Warfield and Sadie White Smith; two brothers, Warfield Smith Jr. and Clay Smith; one sister, Sarah Van Meter.

Joy Smith Ryals was a Retired Food Service Director for Coca Cola, a member of First Christian Church of Hopkinsville, a member of Caskey Homemakers and an avid golfer.

There will be no visitation. A Graveside service will be at Edgewood Cemetery in Trenton, KY on Thursday November 17, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Joe Farless officiating.

Funeral arrangements are arranged by Morgan's Funeral Home.
