David Lee Ralston, age 73 of Hopkinsville, KY

 

sunrise1HOPKINSVILLE, KY - David Lee Ralston, age 73 of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2011 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

David was born in Fairview, KY August 28, 1938 the son of the late Howard R. and Ione Poe Ralston. He was a U.S. Army veteran. David had worked at numerous radio stations in his career as a radio personality. He was presently working at WHOP in Hopkinsville where he was on the Early Bird Show every morning. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, VFW Post 1913, Eagles Club and Elks Club. He was preceded in death besides his parents one son David Rory Ralston in 1984 and one brother Sonny Ralston 2011.

He is survived by his daughter Darla Jean Ralston of Gotha, FL and her husband Jacques Boulay, one brother retired Air Force General Joe Ralston of Anchorage, Alaska and Washington, D.C. one sister Margaret Taylor of Fairview, KY also several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday November 28, 2011 11:00 a.m. at Maddux Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home Hopkinville, KY. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Elkton, KY. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday November 27, 2011 at Maddux Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home.

Latham Funeral Home and Maddux Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
