HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Peggy O’Brien Hanratty, 96, of Christian Health Center passed away at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Christian Health Center of natural causes.
A native of East Liverpool, Ohio she was born October 7, 1915 the daughter of the late Thomas Patrick O’Brien and Anna May Hart O’Brien. She was a homemaker and a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church where she was also a former member of the Readers Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Hanratty, who passed away in 1974.
Survivors include her son: James P. Hanratty, Jr. of Wickenburg, AZ; her daughter: Dr. Margaret Hanratty Thomas of Lodeve, France; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Father Richard Meredith and Rev. Father Daniel Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 12, 2011 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:00 p.m. at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church Building Fund.
