Raymond E. Hale, Sr., 94

 

obit7HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Raymond E. Hale, Sr., 94, of Morningside Assisted Living, passed away at 7:50 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Born in Nashville, TN on September 7, 1917, the son of the late Granville B. Hale, Sr. and Lalla Gill Hale. He was owner and operator of Randolph-Hale Electronics. Mr. Hale served in the Air Force during Word War II where he attained the rank of Sgt. In addition to being a member of Second Baptist Church, he was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner, Elks Lodge member for 50 years, and Past Director of Royal Order of Jesters. Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Morton Hale, in 2001.

Survivors include two sons; Raymond E. Hale, Jr., of Pembroke, KY. James Hale of Hopkinsville, KY. Six Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville with Pastor Ken Shaver officiating. Private burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Contributions may take the form of donations to Second Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, KY.
