HOPKINSVILLE, KY - Barbara McCain Roberts Loden, 78, Tremont Drive, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at Sterling House Assisted Living, Goodlettsville, Tenn., following a long illness.
A native of Trigg County, she was born Oct. 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Arvin and Goldie Glenn Carr McCain. She had first worked at First City Bank and Trust Co. and most recently as owner of Looking Good Tanning and Toning Center. In addition, she had also formerly owned Holiday Burgers and Circle W. Steakhouse. She was a member of the Lions Club and a member of Second Baptist Church, where she was in the Patsy Crabbe Missionary Group.
Her first husband, Don R. Roberts, passed away in 1996. Her second husband, James D. Loden, passed away in 2008. In addition, a son, Anthony Wayne Roberts, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna R. Hampton, Spring Hill, Tenn.; two stepsons, James Doyle Loden Jr., Hopkinsville, Neil Loden, Los Angeles; a stepdaughter, Judy Loden Wasco, Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Cornelia Pugh, Hopkinsville, Linda Taylor, Lancaster, Pa.; two grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville, with the Rev. Larry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 Thursday at the funeral home.
