Shirley F. Williams, 67, of Owensboro

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Shirley F. Williams, 67, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012.

She was born in Owensboro on September 11, 1944 to the late James Ditterline and Hazel D. Myers. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Shirley was a huge University of Kentucky fan and her grandchildren were her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved aunt, Delodia (Sissy) Hayes; and a son, Eric Williams.

Survivors include her husband, Phillip J. Williams; two sons, Mark Rather and his wife, Sharon, of Brownsville, KY and Brian Rather and his wife, Sherri of Owensboro; three daughters, Susan Schwindel, Laura Edmonson and her husband, Wayne, and Felicia Luttrell and her fiancé, James Blair, all of Owensboro; twelve grandchildren, Jake Schwindel, Ashley Edmonson, Matthew Edmonson, Rebecca Rather, Jessica Rather, Cody Rather, Kayla Rather, Marka Rather, Michael Harris, Eric Moffett, Gregory Luttrell and Jonathan Luttrell.

Services will be at 6:00p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
