Larrie Gene Bumpus, 59, of Bowling Green, KY

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Larrie Gene Bumpus, 59, of Bowling Green, KY passed away Thursday at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

The Bowling Green native was born, August 4, 1952, a son of the late Earl Bumpus and Bertha Phelps Roberts who survives.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Bumpus and Bobby Bumpus and sisters, Lois Bumpus-Coulture and Anne Bumpus.

Mr. Bumpus was a graduate of Warren Central High School and was a produce manager for Houchens Industries. He was an accomplished Sunday School teacher, devoted spouse, provider and caretaker, and loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Angela Miller Bumpus of Bowling Green; two daughters, Susan Gardner and her husband, James of Bowling Green and Lorrie Bumpus of Utica, Kentucky; three brothers, Steve Bumpus, and his wife, Janie, Tony Roberts and James Allen Roberts all of Bowling Green; one sister, Jonnie Jenette of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Chandler Lee Bumpus, Chelsy Lee Trussell both of Bowling Green and Charity Bumpus of Owensboro; two great grandchildren, Chasity and Joseph both of Owensboro; one aunt, Mary Phelps of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.

Services are private and handled by Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
