Barbara S. Dame 74, of Beech Grove, Kentucky

 

BEACH GROVE, KY - Barbara S. Dame 74, of Beech Grove, Kentucky passed away Tuesday; February 7, 2012 at Riverside Manor Health Care Center in Calhoun.

Barbara Ann Smith was born July 31, 1937 in McLean County to the late Elmo and Elizabeth Thompson Smith and married Ezra T. Dame on December 23, 1953. Barbara was employed at G.E. in Owensboro, Ward Implement Company, and retired from Kentucky Farm Bureau, a member of the Beech Grove United Methodist Church, and enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family and watching U.K. Basketball.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Gayle Dame, and a brother, James Elmo Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years; Ezra T. Dame. A daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda & Billy Woosley of Beech Grove; 2 sons: Kerry Dame of Henderson, and Keith Dame of Beech Grove; 9 grandchildren: Matthew Woosley, Jennifer Woosley Wilson, Aaron Woosley, Justin Dame, Chaysen Dame, Kaytlen Dame, Austin Haywood, Kimberly Dame Adkins, and Kristan Dame; 12 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with the Revs. Steve Proctor and Keith Page officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Beech Grove. Friends may visit with Barbara’s Family from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday and 10:00 A.M. until time of services Friday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Barbara S. Dame Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideons Bible Program; P. O. Box 241; Livermore, KY 42352. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
