Wayne Harralson (Chick) Donovan, 73, of Bremen

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Wayne Harralson (Chick) Donovan, 73, of Bremen, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 7:30PM at Owensboro Medical Health System.

Mr. Donovan was born August 24, 1938 in Bremen, Kentucky. He worked for LTV Steel (Youngstown) for 43 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Giles Donovan and Larry Walton Donovan; father and mother, Melvin "Chick" and Verona "Tootsie" Donovan; paternal grandparents, James Ecklas and Lillie Rhoades Donovan; maternal grandparents, Finis and Delina Garrett Moore; and daugher-in-law Annette Donovan.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Velma Raye Bowen Donovan; daughters Terri (Larry) Morgan, Tina (Dale) Conley, and Taleah (Rick) Deremiah; sons Eric (Susan) Donovan, Jason (Lisa) Donovan, and Scott (Christine) Donovan; sister-in-law Regina Donovan; grandchildren Stormy, Johnny, Jesse, Suzie, Jason M., Michael, Ryan, Matthew, Haley, and Lillie; step-grandchildren Jennifer, Katie, and Kay-lee; great-grandchildren Kreed, Jake, Trevor, and Adaelynn; aunt Ruby Donovan Dillon; wonderful in-laws; and last but not least, his buddy, Sam.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Alton (Doc) Crowe officiating, assisted by Jerry Rowe. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
