Martin Wilson Hamilton, 84, of Owensboro

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Martin Wilson Hamilton, 84, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System.

He was born July 1, 1927 in Daviess County to the late Oscar and Clara Wilson Hamilton. He was a veteran with the US Army Air Corp, and was retired as an electrical supervisor with Alcoa. Mr. Hamilton was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and enjoyed genealogy, coin collecting and gardening.

He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Keith Hamilton (2000), and brothers, Harold, Randall and Theodore Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife, June Taylor Hamilton, his children, Paul (Jane) Hamilton of Owensboro, Pat (Agnes) Hamilton of Owensboro, Stephen Hamilton of Bonita Springs, FL, Pamela Sue (Jeff) Lucky of El Paso, TX, Jeff (Rena) Hamilton of Owensboro, 11 grandchildren, Ryan Hamilton, Kristen Carlton, Jason Hamilton, Leslie Woltenberg, Christopher Hamilton, Sara Rodgers Jared Taylor Lucky, Martin Taylor Hamilton, Zachary Hamilton, Brandy Hamilton, Tyler Hamilton, great-grandchildren, Cameron Carlton, Callie Carlton, Katelyn Hamilton, Carter Michael Woltenberg, Landon James Rodgers, siblings, Marion Wayne (Betty) Hamilton of Owensboro, Ann Havener of Rockport, IN, Alma Glenn of Owensboro and Mary (Mike) Wade of Owensboro.

Services will be 11:00am. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with Father John Meredith officiating and burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Friday and 9:00 to 10:30am. Saturday at the funeral home. Prayers will be said at 5:00pm. Friday at the funeral home.
