Delois J. Smith Early, 65, of Philpot

OWENSBORO, KY - Delois J. Smith Early, 65, of Philpot, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Hermitage Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Owensboro on February 7, 1947 to the late Ollie Lee Smith and Mary Ernestine Whitaker Smith. She worked at General Electric and HON and was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Lynn Goins in 1968; and a sister, Delores Christine Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, William Bedford Early, Sr.; a son, William Bradley Early of Owensboro; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Goins of Philpot and Kristina Rice (Gary Shannon) of Georgetown, IN; a step-son, William B. Early, Jr. (Barbara) of Hawesville; one step-daughter, Gay Early of Hartford; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, David Smith (Karen) of Owensboro; and two sisters, Della Howard of Owensboro and Barbara Harris (Arthur) of Livermore.

Services will be at 10:00a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. and on Monday after 9:00a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
