Harry R. Freeman, 77, of Owensboro, Kentucky

 

OWENSBORO, KY - Harry R. Freeman, 77, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at his home.

He was born on December 4, 1934 in Owensboro to the late Harry and Mary Hampton Freeman. He retired from the Owensboro Fire Department and was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Geraldine "Gerry" Freeman on July 11, 2009.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Bonnie Freeman of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; four grandchildren, Dustin, Alaina, Anna and Brigitte; a great grandchild, Kailei; a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Leon Evans; a niece, Vicky and a nephew, Harry.

Services are at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2012, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m-2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Owensboro Fire Department, 512 W. 9th Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
