Eudora Lee Collins, 80, of Paducah

 

PADUCAH, KY - Eudora Lee Collins, 80, of Paducah, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL.

Eudora was born June 23, 1931 in St. Helana Parrish, LA to the late Hollis and Velma Frazier Lee. She and her husband, Samuel Robert Collins, Sr., were relocated to several places because of his job, including Cary, N.C., Abingdon, VA, and Durham, N.C. The attended the Church of Christ in each of those towns and Eudora worked various clerical jobs as well.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Samuel Robert Collins, Sr.; two children, Sheila Collins Miller and husband Steve of Paducah, and Samuel Robert Collins, Jr. and wife Lyleen of Durham, N.C.; four grandchildren, Allan (Lisa) Miller, Emilee (David) Graziano, Lee Collins and Michael Collins; five great grandchildren, Ethan and Luke Miller, and Isabella, Angelina and Grayson Graziano; a sister, Yvonne Lee Sibley of Baton Rouge, LA; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Lee of Baton Rouge, LA.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Leopold Lee and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home with Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Memphis School of Preaching, 3950 South Forest Hill Irene Road Memphis, TN 38125.
