OWENSBORO, KY - Clint A. Frakes, 82, of Utica, Kentucky died Friday, March 16, 2012, at his home.
He was born on February 2, 1930 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Herman and Clara Thorpe Frakes. He was employed for 25 years as an electrician for IBEW Electrical Union #1701 and was also a part-time truck driver. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was of the Methodist faith. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing, gardening and reading. His greatest enjoyment was being with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ambs Frakes on January 2, 2002; a daughter, Susan Faye Frakes Kasey; a grandson, Michael N. Hecker; a great grandson, Jared Clint Anderson and brothers, William "Bill" Frakes and Donald "Donnie" Frakes.
He is survived by his son, Clifford "Tony" Frakes (Ruby) of Owensboro; two daughters, Sharon Kingsley of Owensboro and Paula Ayer of Calhoun, KY; son-in-law; Jerry Kasey of Owensboro; seventeen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; two brothers, Martin Frakes (Linda) of Reynolds Station, KY and Harold Frakes (Doris) of Rockport, IN; a sister, Nancy Markwell (Glenn) of Calhoun, KY; a special brother-in-law, Charles "Leon" Ambs; a special sister-in-law, Lyndal Ambs Cambron and several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
