Carolyn Sue Ferguson, 66, of Rumsey, Kentucky

OWENSBORO, KY - Carolyn Sue Ferguson, 66, of Rumsey, Kentucky died Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

Carolyn Sue Howard was born November 28, 1945 in Muhlenberg County to the late Horace Elwood and Virginia Fern Evitts Howard, was married to Kenneth Gossett until his death in May of 1982, and was later married to Marvin H. Ferguson in 1985. Sue was a retired miner from the Consol Coal Company, a member of the Rumsey United Methodist Church, and a member of the U.M.W.A. She enjoyed antiques, caring for her flowers, and spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and first husband, Sue was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Riley and Taylor Ferguson.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Ferguson; two sons, Michael Ferguson of Princeton and James Ferguson and his wife, Jennifer of Beech Grove; two daughters and their husbands, Kim and Petie Ross and Shannon and Ricky Quiggins both of Rumsey; eight grandchildren, Kent Quiggins, Blane Metcalf, Garrett Metcalf, Brennan Metcalf, Jalyn Ferguson, Sydney Ferguson, Bailey Ferguson, and Carley Ferguson; and a brother and his wife, Tommy and Georgia Howard of Jewell City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Sue’s Family from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until time of services Monday at Musters in Calhoun.

The Carolyn Sue Ferguson Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Poplar Grove Cemetery Fund; C/O Jerry L. Baggett; 5007 Pack Church Road; Rumsey, Kentucky 42371. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Calhoun.
