Bessie Lowe Clark, 90, of Owensboro

OWENSBORO, KY - Bessie Lowe Clark, 90, of Owensboro, passed away March 22, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health System.

She was born September 7, 1921, in Ohio County, KY to the late Thomas and Willie Lake Lowe. She was retired from GE and a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Clark graduated Valedictorian of Utica High School Class of 1940.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Finis (F.C.) Clark (12-3-1995), son, Charles Ronald Clark (6-9-2011) , infant son, Gary Thomas Clark (5/1946), grandson, Jonathon Clark (10-12-1985), brothers, Rethel and William Lowe, sister, Amy Gae Kassinger, stepsister, Mildred Branscum and stepbrother, Edgar Branscum.

Survivors include her children, Carol (David) LeNeave of Brookport, ILL, Eric (Diane) Clark, of Owensboro, Pam (Bob) Kirtley of Owensboro, daughter-in-law, Mona R. Clark of Owensboro, grandchildren, Ginger (George) Reynolds, James (April) Newman, Laurie (Paulino) Impastato, Christopher (Lisa) Clark, Courtney (Dustin) Beck, Paula (P.D.) Gray, Brent (Alyson) Clark, Ashley (Corey) Johnson, Allison (Chris) Bates, and Amanda Kirtley; great-grandchildren, Julie (Chris) Medlin, Rebecca Lemon, Jessica Newman, Dallas Haire, Mason Haire, Ally Carol Newman, Samuel Impastato, Evan Clark, Kaley Beck, Trevor Beck, Alyssa Beck, Abby Beck, Austin Gray, Connor Gray, Emma Clark, Arlo Johnson, Claudia Johnson, Kirtley Bates and Alex Bates; four great-great grandchildren, a sister, Edwina (Roy) Lawrence of Mt. Washington, KY, a stepsister, Christine Bartlett of Philpot, stepbrother, Donald Branscum of Arizona and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00am Monday, March 26, 2012 at Haley-McGinnis and Owensboro Chapel with son-in-law Reverend David LeNeave officiating and burial to follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00pm at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home with Sharing of Memories at 4:30pm and Monday from 9:00 to 11:00am at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western KY, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
