hayes floraMUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY - Flora Mae Hayes, 88, of Owensboro, Flora Mae Hayes, 88, of Owensboro, died Sunday, March 25, 2012 at 7:30PM at her home. Mrs. Hayes was born March 8, 1924 in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Hayes; son Tommy Hayes; and daughter Carolyn Cottrell.

Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Shaw of Central City, Ellen Stanley of Greenville, and mary (Ricky) Knight of Owensboro; sons Danny Hayes of Beloit, Wisconsin and Robert "Button" Hayes of Evansville, IN; daughter-in-law Edna Hayes of Central City; brothers Sherman (Edna) Fulkerson of Evansville, IN and Lindle (Daisy) Fulkerson of Waterman, IL; sisters Hazel Reynolds of Manitou, Joyce (Harry) Gregory of St. Charles, IL, and Alice (Darrell) Simms of Greenville; 33 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Bruce Treon officiating. Burial in Old Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
