Melvin L. Edmonds, of Island, KY

OWENSBORO, KY - Melvin L. Edmonds, of Island, KY passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Owensboro Medical Health System.

Melvin Lee Edmonds was born June 30, 1949 in McLean County, KY to the late John and Dorothy Drake Edmonds and was married to the former Norma Dean Pendley on May 23, 1986. Melvin was a retired construction worker and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Edmonds; three sons, Kevin Edmonds of Glenfield, New York, Troy Edmonds of Island, and Anthony Swan of Livia; a daughter, Carrie Revlett of Bremen; two step sons, Troy Phillips of Island and Roy Phillips of Sacramento; 15 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Doug Edmonds and Ronnie Edmonds both of Island; and two sisters, Carolyn Hunt and Brenda Burch both of Island.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Barney Priar officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in McLean County with Military Honors conducted by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post # 5415. Friends may visit with Melvin’s Family from 11:30 A.M. until time of services Saturday at Musters in Livermore.

The Melvin L. Edmonds Family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Melvin L. Edmonds, Memorial Fund; C/O Muster Funeral Homes; P.O. Box 228; Livermore, KY 42352. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at Musters in Livermore.
