Juanita Gordon Riley, 90, of Owensboro, KY

wiley obitOWENSBORO, KY - Juanita Gordon Riley, 90, of Owensboro, KY passed away Monday, April 16, 2012, at Hermitage Nursing & Rehabilitation in Owensboro.

She was born on December 9, 1921 in Daviess County, KY to the late Guy Gordon, Sr. and Mabel Conley Gordon. She retired as a Ward Clerk for Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital. She was a member of Hall Street Baptist Church and a former member of Seven Hills Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women's Missionary Union.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester W. Riley in 1998; by a daughter, Mabel Sue Roberts in 1971 and by four brothers, Elbert Lee "Buddy" Gordon, Edgar "Shorty" Gordon, James Robert "Bobby" Gordon and Rev. Guy Gordon, Jr.

She is survived by two grandsons, Benny (Nancy) Roberts of Philpot, KY and Chester Roberts of Evansville and a great grandson, Benjamin Shane Roberts of Philpot, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Services are at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro.
